Who Should Play
Your mission is simple: Reach your Custom Evolution Goal before the board locks up!
- Define Your Challenge: Set your target number at the start and push your limits.
- Logic-Based Merging: Slide tiles to collide identical numbers, evolving them into the next level.
- Survival Under Pressure: Monitor the timer and your stack height. Don’t let the tiles exceed 8 rows, or it’s game over!
How to Play
The core of the game is strategic positioning and rapid merging. Here is the breakdown:
Core Gameplay
- The Setup: The game starts with two rows of randomly distributed number tiles on a grid.
- Free Movement: As long as a tile is not "linked" to others, you can drag it freely to any empty space. Moving a tile changes its position but does not trigger a merge unless it hits an identical number.
- The +1 Logic: Unlike games that double the value ($2+2=4$), our rule is $n + n = n+1$ (e.g., merging two 2s creates a 3). This creates a faster, tighter progression curve.
- Dynamic Pressure: A timer runs at the top of the screen. When it hits zero—or if no moves are available—a new row of numbers spawns at the bottom.
- The Deadline: You only have 8 rows of vertical space. If the stack hits the ceiling, the game ends.
Controls
- PC: Left-click and drag tiles to move; click the UI buttons to set goals or restart.
- Mobile: Tap and slide your finger across the screen for smooth, tactile control.
Frequently Asked Questions
Prioritize merging low-level tiles first. This keeps your tile count low and creates "breathing room" for new rows. Always keep one eye on the timer; try to complete at least one merge before it hits zero to delay the spawning of the next row.
Build a "Ladder Layout." Keep your highest numbers near the edges or the bottom to act as anchors. Build "production lines" around them—for example, if your goal is 8, prepare two 6s nearby, then merge two 5s to complete the sequence. Keep the center clear to avoid "deadlocks."
If the board has no possible merges left, the game will force-spawn a new row to keep the action moving. Always leave a bit of operational redundancy so you aren’t caught off guard!
Tiles with visible connection lines are "linked." You cannot move a linked tile freely; you must first merge its neighbors to break the connection and restore its "freedom."
