Who Should Play
The goal is simple yet profound: fill the 9x9 grid so that every row, every column, and each of the nine 3x3 sub-grids contains all the digits from 1 to 9 without repetition. Select your challenge from four levels: Easy, Secondary, Difficulty, or Expert. Keep your wits about you—you have 8 chances to make mistakes. Aim to solve the puzzle in record time and push your cognitive limits!
How to Play
🧩 Core Mechanics
- Difficulty Levels: Choose your path: Easy (lots of clues), Secondary, Difficulty, or Expert (very few clues). Each level tests your deduction skills in new ways.
- Timer & Mistake Counter: Your progress is tracked by a real-time clock. Be careful! You are allowed up to 8 mistakes per game. If you exceed this limit, the puzzle is lost.
- Visual Guides: Click any pre-filled number to highlight every instance of that digit across the entire board. This makes spotting gaps and preventing duplicates much easier.
- Helper Tools:
- Hint: Stuck? Use a hint to reveal the correct number for the selected cell.
- Note: Switch to Note mode to pencil in candidates for a cell—perfect for complex elimination strategies.
- Eraser: Quickly clear mistakes or outdated notes to keep your board tidy.
Game Controls
- Select: Click any empty cell to focus on it.
- Input: Tap the number buttons at the bottom to fill the selected cell.
- Tools: Tap the Hint, Note, or Eraser icons to activate them.
- Cross-Check: Click an existing number to see its distribution across the 9x9 grid.
Frequently Asked Questions
Think twice, click once! Before entering a number, double-check its row, column, and 3x3 box. If you’re not 100% sure, always use the Note tool to mark potential candidates. Also, frequently use the highlight feature (clicking a number) to see where that digit is already placed, which prevents accidental duplicates.
- Look for "Low-Hanging Fruit": Focus on rows, columns, or 3x3 boxes that are nearly full (e.g., only 1 or 2 empty cells). These are the easiest to solve and provide clues for the rest of the board.
- The Frequency Method: See which numbers appear most often on the board. Use the highlighting feature to find the remaining spots for those digits quickly.
- Master Your Notes: Use the Note tool to map out possibilities for multiple cells at once. This "systematic elimination" is much faster than guessing.
